Dominican Republic Named Latin America and Caribbean’s Best Golf Destination 2019.
Tour operator members of global golf tourism organization IAGTO have voted Dominican Republic the “2019 Golf Destination of the Year for Latin America and the Caribbean”.
This is the fourth time the Dominican Republic has been recognized as the go-to destination for golf travel by IAGTO (International Association of Golf Tour Operators), making it the most celebrated destination in the region.
Punta Cana and Casa de Campo are the two main golf destinations in the Dominican Republic. Casa de Campo has 3 golf courses available for golfers visiting this luxury resort: The Links, Dye Fore and Teeth of the Dog - all designed by Pete Dye. Punta Cana has the best variety of golf courses, which include both inland courses, resort courses and breathtaking ocean-side courses. The three most noteworthy courses are definitely La Cana (P. B. Dye design), Corales (Tom Fazio design) and Punta Espada (Jack Nicklaus Signature design). Of course, the Hard Rock Golf Club at Canabay (Jack Nicklaus design) is another golf course that attracts plenty of golfers.
There are several golf resorts in Punta Cana with their own course on property and golfers staying at these resorts can enjoy complimentary green fees, playing only for the golf cart. These resorts include Melia, Paradisus, Barcelo, Iberostar, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana and Majestic.
For all golfers traveling to the destination, we offer golf excursions (single rounds and packages) which include shared, round trip transfers from hotels in Punta Cana to any golf course in Punta Cana and Casa de Campo. Tee times are available daily, subject to availability, and for golfers traveling during high season (winter season), booking their tee times prior to arrival is recommendable.
