What's New in the Dominican Republic?

From the Group Palmera Newsletter Oct. 28, 2020:

Tourism in the Dominican Republic is growing, and new hotels are coming to the destination. The Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana is already well under construction and scheduled to open next year. And just two weeks ago, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts held its groundbreaking ceremony at Cap Cana.

"The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort & Residences is expected to be the first St. Regis hotel in the Dominican Republic. Slated to open in 2023, the resort is expected to feature 200 luxurious guest rooms and suites with spectacular ocean views and 67 residences, in addition to the iconic St. Regis Butler Service, bespoke amenities, and a world-class golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus."

The arrival of St. Regis to the Dominican Republic will definitely help further elevate the region of Punta Cana and Cap Cana in particular as a luxury travel destination.

Of course, high-end travelers who want to visit the Dominican Republic before 2023 already have the opportunity of staying at luxury hotels like Eden Roc Cap Cana and Tortuga Bay Hotel at Puntacana Resort & Club.
