At Punta Cana Kitesurfing School you will learn everything you need to go kitesurfing in just 3 days!
The school is located on the beach at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, which is an ideal place with good wind and ocean conditions.
Our instructors are certified by the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO) and they will teach you all the kitesurfing skills and techniques! The instructors have more than 7 years of experience and have successfully instructed over 1000 students since 2008.
When you graduate, you will receive an official IKO Certification vCard, which will be registered on the IKO website (www.ikointl.com). With your IKO certification, you can also rent equipment from other locations and go surfing on your own. Should you decide to take your kite surfing to another level, you can also build on your skill level in the future.
This 3-day course begins with teaching you the basic kitesurfing concepts and techniques on the beach. You will learn about wind windows, safety, kite surfing theory, kite control, configuration of a powerful kite, launch, landing and self-rescue, how to control the kite on the ground and on the water.
Afterwards, on day 2, you will find out how to make your first body drag with down-wind and body drag with up-wind. The instructor will teach you how to make your first exits to the water and how to take short flights.
Finally, on the 3rd day, you will progress to doing long rides on both sides and up-wind. These are final steps before you become a real kite surfer and you are able to surf on your own!
Advanced & Freestyle lessons are available if you need more instructions after completing the 3-day course. You can also take these lessons to learn more advanced & freestyle techniques.
