The Dominican Republic is one of the best places in the world for deep-sea fishing! And your best bet is to charter a private boat for the day. This 38 Blackin fishing charter is available all year round.

You have the option to charter the PREDATOR. This is a 38 ft. Blackfin fishing boat powered by 6V92 550 hp Detroit engines. The boat is in good condition and has space for up to 6 people in total.

The fishing charter includes equipment incl. GPS, depth finder, satellite radio, electric reels, ice maker, and custom rods with Shimano reels plus Rupp outriggers. The boat’s interior includes a salon with satellite TV as well as 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

Charters are available from 4 hours to 10 hours.

Charters include beverages (beer, soft drinks, and water), fishing equipment, and bait. You are welcome to bring your own food/snacks.

Depending on the season, we’ll fish for Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi (Dorado), Tuna, Wahoo, Barracuda, and Mackerel. Catching that BIG BLUE Marlin is, of course, every fisherman’s dream. We’ve hooked some pretty big ones in Punta Cana as well and in season, we typically go to Macao where there is typically more marlin in the ocean. Reeling in a big blue can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the size of the fish and the experience of the angler. Please note that we always practice “catch & release” when fishing for White Marlin and Blue Marlin.

THE 42FT BERTRAM FISHING CHARTER INCLUDES:

Private fishing boat charter (4, 6, 8, or 10 hours), captain & mate, all fishing equipment, bait, and non-alcoholic beverages.

WHAT TO WEAR AND/OR BRING:

Wear comfortable clothes, beach sandals, sunglasses, a hat/cap, your bathing suit, and eco-friendly sun lotion (without oxybenzone) that does not damage the corals and ocean life. Bring a beach towel, camera, and cash money (US$) for food & drinks at API Beach and gratuities.

CHILDREN:

This excursion may not be suitable for small children and/or infants although there is no minimum age for children to participate in this excursion. All children must be accompanied by an adult (18+ years old).

• This excursion does not include transportation to/from Cap Cana Marina. We can arrange your transportation for an additional fee ($).
• An appropriate gratuity/tip for the boat captain & crew would be 10-20% of the charter price plus the fish that were caught and brought back to the marina.
• Participants must understand that sailing may be uncomfortable. Please take a Dramamine or similar in the morning if you get seasick easily.
